In the musical spirit of Elton John, Billy Joel, and Ben Folds we find singer/songwriter, Kevin Burdick. His unique blend of reality and piano-driven pop is sure to inspire you, as it has thousands of others around the globe. Videos of live performances and samples of his music can be found on his various social networking sites where hundreds of thousands of fans gather to celebrate his one-of-a-kind adult contemporary style. In 2006, Cingular Wireless selected Kevin as on of the top emerging artists on MySpace and turned one of his songs, “She Does Her Crying Alone” into a downloadable ring tone. “Robbie’s Song” from his 2005 Release True Stories and other fairy tales burned up the Independent and College Radio Charts, breaking the top 1000 and resting as high as 313 (un-weighted, August 2006).
One of Kevin’s top iTunes downloads is a track entitled “Too Good For this World (Dempsey’s Mix)” which he wrote for his late daughter. He currently manages a charity started in her name, the Dempsey Burdick Memorial Foundation (www.dempseyburdick.com), which provides funding for needy families who have lost a child and can’t afford a permanent grave marker. The charity continues to do great work nationwide and has helped a number of families already this year. Since 2007, Kevin has actively toured enjoying performances for solid crowds in Nashville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, New Jersey, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and nearly everywhere in between where he has sold thousands of CDs. In 2009, Kevin was seen by nearly half a million people performing in our national 4th of July parade in Washington DC. I am a Rock Pianist who writes music inspired by real people that I’ve known in my life. My friends will tell you that I am “deeply wounded, genuinely concerned, and stubbornly optimistic” and I believe that my music reflects that.
