If ultrasounds are previews to the ‘cinema of life,’ then the sequel to Ultrasound 1 looks like it’s gonna be a blockbuster hit. Mostly because we just got confirmation that we ARE NOT having twins and, even more importantly, we got confirmation of normal brain development, two legs, two arms, and a whole lotta sexy in there.

Baby’s momma has been really amazing, in spite of near crippling morning sickness. She’s been letting me keep the right amount of distance for my mental well-being, while also allowing me to participate in everything so far. We had some disagreements that first week, especially about this blog – she’s extremely private and I’m extremely open – introvert vs. extrovert. I think ultimately she came to the conclusion that it’s better to have an excited partner in this process, who maybe expresses too much, than someone who doesn’t care.

And finally, we’re switching doctors this week. Good bye Dr. Whatever-Your-Name-Was (I seriously didn’t bother even learning her name since we were looking for someone closer), Hello Dr. Kimmel. We have another ultrasound scheduled in two weeks where we’ll all find out if the baby will be a boy or a girl. I think those are our only two options. Hold on, let me check the baby book… Yep, boy or girl, only options.

Looking forward to knowing which color paint to buy for the baby’s room.
